Ariel Winter has openly spoken about the “rough” childhood she endured under her mother’s care. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she claimed that her mother, Crystal Workman, dressed her in “low-cut things” and “the smallest miniskirts” at the age of 7. She revealed that people often mistook her for a 24-year-old when she was only 12.

Winter’s mother did not seem to have any problem with her daughter’s appearance, even to the extent of allowing her to perform nude scenes at a very young age. “If there was going to be a nude scene when I was that age, my mother would have a thousand percent said yes,” Winter said in the same interview. However, Winter’s relationship with her mother went beyond just inappropriate clothing choices and questionable parenting decisions.
