Mohan Babu’s Son of India fails miserably at the box office, look at the collections here

Mohan Babu is one of the popular Actors of Telugu cinema. He is also known as the collection King in Tollywood. The senior actor acted in more than 550 films. After a few months gap, He came up with a recent film ‘Son of India’. It was released in theatres on February 18th. But the film has failed at the box office miserably reportedly due to the negative reviews.

The 1 hour 40 minutes long movie revolves around a man Kadiyam Babji (Mohan Babu) who is furious with society’s culture. His main theme is to change the society fighting against injustice and corruption in India.

According to the criticism the entire film is being occupied by Mohan Babu’role. The rest of the characters have shown rarely and in a small duration of the movie. Director Ratna Babu is failed to bring back the vintage Mohan Babu on the big screen. Many shows were canceled on the first day of Son of India due to no footfalls at theatres. 

This film is a big setback to Mohan Babu and one would not have imagined such low collections for the film. It seems to have done a total collection of a mere 4 to 5 lakhs gross. The net collection amounts to zero if the total deficits and negative shares of the film’s earnings are to be deducted. The film is called the biggest disaster in Mohan Babu’s career.

If the film would have been released on the OTT platform instead of theatres it would have not done such bad collections. Let’s hope the actor will bounce back with another film.

The film Son of India has written and directed by Diamond Ratna Babu. the film also stars Vennela Kishore and Muhammad Ali in supporting roles. Vishnu Manchu, son of Mohan Babu has produced the film.
