For RRR to break even and enter the profit zone, it will need to collect around $11.5 million. With a good opening weekend, the Buyers are optimistic that the film will be able to draw large crowds to the theatres.

RRR will undoubtedly be one of the most grossing films in the United States when it is completed. However, it is unlikely to surpass Baahubali 2’s box office haul as per the trade analysts.

According to Manobala, Only 5 Indian films have entered the club, two among them are  SS Rajamouli’s movies, the other 2 Aamir Khan movies. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat is also part of the list.

The Rajamouli-directed film is aiming for a strong box office debut this weekend, which also happens to be Ugadi weekend. It remains to be seen if the picture can draw large people to the theatres during the festival. If it happens, American Distributors will be looking at huge gains.

The magnum opus is widely regarded as the only film that should be seen in a theatre, which is why the great majority of the general audience, who have previously preferred OTT watching, is flocking to the theatres to see it.

RRR is the most expensive production in Indian cinema to date, and the film’s success hinges on its ability to deliver, which it has done admirably thus far.
