The biggest disaster for the biggest star!

Mohanlal, the superstar of Malayalam cinema, is having a not-so-great start to the year. His latest release ‘Alone’, a Shaji Kailas directorial, has been released in Kerala to a lukewarm response from the audience. Despite getting positive reviews from movie buffs, the film has failed to strike a chord with the audience, as the collection figures have been poor.

Mounted on a budget of Rs 2.5 crores, it can be said that the Mohanlal starrer ‘Alone’ is a complete disaster at the Kerala box office. The film collected a total of Rs 68 lakhs in four days. It is quite a worrying trend, as a movie featuring a superstar like Mohanlal fails to draw in the crowds.

Both the audience and the critics have failed to warm up to the film.  It is indeed a worrying trend for Mohanlal and the team of ‘Alone’, as the film has failed to draw in the crowds to the theatres. Despite getting positive reviews from movie buffs, the film is finding it hard to get any audience to the theatres, and the reflections can be seen throughout the collections figures day by day for the movie. 

Mohanlal’s much-awaited comeback film ‘Alone’ helmed by veteran filmmaker Shaji Kailas has been met with mixed reviews and is currently struggling at the box office. The story of ‘Alone’ revolves around Kalidasan, played by Mohanlal, who moves into a prominent flat in Kochi during the first lockdown. he film had an interesting premise, but unfortunately, ‘Alone’ failed to make a mark at the box office
