Aakasam Nee Haddu Ra review: Suriya is Terrific in an Emotional Ride

Star Hero Suriya’s latest film Aakasam Nee Haddura is a dubbed version of the Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’. The film is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film is based on the real story of GR Gopinath, founder of Air Deccan. Let’s look at the review of the film.
Mahesh (Suriya) is a well-educated youth with big dreams in his eyes. He always dreams of starting an airline company for everyone to fly. But that’s not an easy one. He faces hurdles at every step from the Big Guns are who are ruling the Aviation industry. But Mahesh doesn’t give up easily. And Rest is about how he achieves the dream makes an intriguing tale.
Suriya’s performance is terrific. We can say this is a comeback film for Suriya. This is easily the best performance of the actor and he has breathed life into it. Aparna Balamurali is excellent and matches Suriya. She has done justice to her character. Director Sudha Kongara designed her character well as a strong-willed woman.
Paresh Rawal is good as the Big Gun in the Aviation industry. Mohana Babu gets limited screen time but makes an impact on the film. Urvashi has done a good job.
Cinematography is one of the highlights of the film. GV Prakash Kumar’s BGM is helpful in elevated scenes. Telugu actor Suryadev has dubbed Suriya’s voice and done well. Production values are superb. Sudha Kongara is succeeded in showing an aspiring tale with emotional aspects on the screen. Despite some few points of GR Gopinath’s real-life story are fictionalized, she handled the film with great command of craft.
Despite having some repetitive scenes, Aakasam Nee Haddura is a must watch this festive season. And it is a treat for Suriya’s fans. This movie is a relief for digital platforms this year, as previous direct to digital releases were given thumbs down by the audience.
