The Telugu film industry is known for its high-octane action flicks, but not all movies can strike gold at the box office. The recent release, Agent, starring Akhil Akkineni, has been struggling to make its mark since its release. According to reports from the Andhra Box Office, the movie managed to earn a meager 21 lakhs share in the Nizam area, which is quite disappointing for the makers. The film, which is directed by Surendhar Reddy and stars Sakshi Vaidya as the female lead, has been receiving poor reviews from critics and audiences alike. While the action sequences and Akhil’s performance were appreciated, the movie lacked a cohesive plot and failed to engage the audience.

Despite a lot of hype and anticipation surrounding the movie’s release, Agent failed to live up to its expectations. The film’s worldwide pre-release theatrical business was valued at a whopping Rs 36.20 crore, and the break-even target was set at Rs 37 crore. However, with the current dismal performance, achieving the break-even target seems like an impossible task.
The film’s failure at the box office has come as a huge setback for Akhil Akkineni, who was looking to establish himself as a bankable actor in the Telugu film industry. Despite his best efforts and hard work, the movie’s lackluster performance has left him and the entire team disappointed.
