The new song ‘Besharam Rang’ from the much-awaited film, ‘Pathaan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone has been released and it has already landed into several controversies. While a section of the audience has fallen in love with its sensual appeal, there’s a large segment of the audience who has been opposing the song.
One of the major issues of contention has been the costumes worn by Deepika in the song, particularly the saffron bikini. This has particularly been criticized by BJP minister Narottam Mishra and BJP MLA Ram Kadam.

Mukesh Khanna, a television icon, has recently spoken out against the song ‘Besharam Rang’ from the movie ‘Pathaan’, calling out the ‘deliberately provocative’ outfit worn by Deepika Padukone in the song. The song, which has become a viral sensation in the past few days, features Deepika Padukone in a bright yellow outfit.
However, Mukesh Khanna has taken offense to the choice of costume, saying that it is ‘deliberately provocative’ and sends out the wrong message to children. In an interview with a leading daily, Mukesh Khanna said, “The outfit in the song is deliberately provocative and sends out the wrong message to kids. I feel the movie should have chosen something more appropriate for Deepika Padukone. It’s not about being shy or moralistic but it’s about protecting our culture and values.”
