At the prestigious International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Tollywood legendary actor Chiranjeevi was chosen as the Indian film personality of the year 2022. On Sunday, it was announced in Goa.
The megastar would be honored as the festival’s personality of the year, according to a tweet sent on Sunday by Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur. Since making his cinematic debut in “Punadhirallu,” Chiranjeevi has been in 154 movies. He’s considered to be one of India’s finest actors.
According to a statement from the government, “the honor is a tribute the nation pays to the much-loved megastar for his contribution to movies, popular culture, and socially meaningful artistic work.”
Anurag Singh Thakur, the Union I&B Minister, congratulated the actor and noted that Chiranjeevi has had a distinguished career spanning almost four decades, with over 150 films to his credit as an actor, dancer, and producer.
Rajinikanth, Ilaiyaraaja, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Amitabh Bachchan, and other celebrities have previously received this honor. Chiranjeevi thanked the administration for the honor.
