In a much-anticipated revelation, the Animal team has officially unveiled the streaming date for the action-packed drama starring Ranbir Kapoor and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film, generating immense buzz surrounding its OTT release, was initially slated for a digital debut on January 26th. However, the absence of official confirmation from both the Animal team and Netflix kept audiences on the edge of their seats.
The long-awaited update has finally arrived, as the Animal team took to the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to confirm the OTT streaming date. Symbolically alluding to the significance of Republic Day, the official handle of the film shared the Indian flag, hinting that viewers can expect the much-anticipated streaming experience starting from January 26th.
Animal, a colossal box office hit, garnered a worldwide Gross of over 900 crores. The OTT version, set to grace screens soon, promises additional scenes featuring the talented Rashmika Mandanna. However, the journey to this digital release was not without its challenges, as the filmmakers faced legal hurdles.

The legal dispute between Cine1 Private Ltd and T-Series, which had cast a shadow over Animal’s release, has now found resolution outside the courtroom. The two production entities settled their contract dispute, which arose from allegations of contract violations by Cine1. The claims included a demand for a 35% profit share and intellectual property rights in the film. T-Series countered, stating that Cine1 had relinquished rights for Rs 2.6 crore through an amendment.
Despite a scheduled hearing on January 22nd, the parties involved reached an agreement, thus paving the way for the OTT release of Animal. The court is expected to officially conclude the matter on January 24th, ensuring a smoother path for viewers to enjoy the cinematic spectacle that Animal promises to be on the digital platform.
