The HBO Max streaming service has released the opening scene for David Yates’ latest installment to the Harry Potter spin-off series, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
A glimpse of Jude Law’s Dumbledore and Mads Mikkelsen’s Grindelwald in the opening scene of Secrets of Dumbledore below shows them discussing their previous plans. There is then an action-packed sequence featuring Newt being chased down by Credence and Grindelwald’s followers following this scene.
This film grossed over $380 million worldwide against a reported budget of $200 million, making it the lowest-grossing film in the magical franchise. There is still no word on whether this poor box-office performance will impact the previously announced second and third installments of Fantastic Beasts.
