Latest Movies and series on Prime, Netflix and more this April 2022

In April, there are seven new releases available on various OTT platforms. In terms of the OTT space, April began off on a high note.

Several promising films, including the Malayalam movie Bheeshma Parvam starring Mammotty and the romantic film Radhe Shyam, debuted on digital platforms on the first day of this month. While ‘Mai’ is available on Netflix, ‘Abhay 3’ is available on ZEE5 and ‘Dasvi’ is available on Netflix.

Let’s take a look at which new films and shows are coming out in April in this post.

1. Radhe Shyam- Amazon Prime on  April 1st

Prabhas plays Vikramaditya, a palmist with the ability to predict everything, even minute details of someone’s death. Pooja Hegde plays the lead role in the multi-lingual love story set in Europe in the 1970s.

2.’Cobalt Blue’- Netflix on April 2nd.

Cobalt Blue, directed by renowned novelist and dramatist Sachin Kundalkar, will be released on Netflix on Saturday.

The film, which stars Prateik Babbar, Neelay Mehendale, Anjali Sivaraman, Shishir Sharma, Anant Joshi, and Geetanjali Kulkarni, is based on Kundalkar’s critically praised novel of the same name from 2006.

Mehendale and Sivaraman portray siblings who fall in love with their attractive paid guest (Babbar), upsetting their entire family.

 

3. ‘Dasvi’ – Netflix and JioCinema on April 7th.

Abhishek Bachchan is prepping up for his next OTT release, Dasvi, after Ludo, The Big Bull, and Bob Biswas.

The social comedy, which also stars Yami Gautam Dhar and Nimrat Kaur, is set to premiere on Netflix and JioCinema on April 7.

Tushar Jalota directed the film, which was produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, Shobhna Yadav, and Sandeep Leyzel.

4.’Gullak 3′ –  SonyLIV on April 7th.

It is regarded as one of the most touching online programs of our time, and the Mishra family will return with the “gullak” of their fair share of day-to-day tales and nostalgic memories for this episode as well.

It stars Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Harsh Mayar, and Sunita Rajwar and is directed by Palash Vaswani.

 

 

5.’Abhay 3′-  ZEE5 on April 8th.

The third season of Abhay, which marked Bollywood star Kunal Kemmu’s digital debut, will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on Friday.

The crime thriller is directed by Ken Ghosh and stars Asha Negi, Vidya Malvade, and Vijay Raaz.

SP Abhay Pratap Singh is played by Kemmu, while Sonam Khanna, a news reporter, and Singh’s wife, is played by Negi.

There will be eight episodes in Abhay 3.

6. Naradhan -Amazon Prime on April 8th

The Malayalam-language film is planned to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April and is crime thriller. 
Tovino Thomas, Anna Ben, Indrans, Renji Panicker, Sharaf Dheen, and Rajesh Madhavan star in the film, which is directed by Aashiq Abu.
 

7. ‘All the Old Knives’ – Amazon Prime on April 8th.

All the Old Knives, a Hollywood film, is ranked sixth.

The thriller, which stars Chris Pine, Thandiwe Newton, Laurence Fishburne, and Jonathan Pryce, will be released on April 8 on Amazon Prime Video and in select cinemas.

Former lovers and CIA spies Henry Pelham and Celia Harrison are played by Pine and Newton, respectively.

Janus Metz Pedersen, a Danish filmmaker, directed it.

 

 

8. ‘Gaalivaana’ – ZEE 5 on April 14th.

Gaalivaana, a Telugu film, is now ranked sixth.

The film, which is backed by BBC Studios India and NorthStar Entertainment, is the latter’s first foray into India’s premium scripted regional market.

Radikaa Sarathkumar, Sai Kumar, Chandini Chowdary, Nandini Rai, Chaitanya Krishna, Thagubothu Ramesh, Saranya Pradeep, and Ashritha Vemuganti feature in Gaalivaana, an Indian remake of the BBC contemporary thriller One Of Us.

 

 

9. ‘Mai’- Netflix on April 15th.

The drama, which will star TV actor Sakshi Tanwar, will follow Sheel Chaudhary (Tanwar) as she becomes entangled in a world of crime, corruption, and violence.

Atul Mongia developed and directed the film, which is supported by Clean Slate Films. Anshai Lal is a Mai co-director.

The rest of the cast includes Raima Sen, Seema Pahwa, and Prashant Narayan.
