A life-size Ravana effigy will reportedly be burned by Prabhas at the Ramlila at the Lal Qila Ground in New Delhi. The celebrity will attend the ceremony alongside Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and President Droupadi Murmu.

As per IANS’ news report, the secretary of the Lav Kush Ramlila Committee, as saying, “We considered inviting Prabhas as the Chief guest, along with the President of India and the Chief Minister of Delhi, because he portrayed Lord Rama in Adipurush. To kill Ravana in Ramlila, all three of them will release the arrows.” The committee intended to host the Ramlila on a large scale because it didn’t occur in Delhi for a few years. Because of Covid, we were unable to do Ramlila for two years, but this year we decided to organize it on a large scale so that more people could attend and see it. As a result, we invited around 22 celebrities, and they all participated in our Ramlila.”

Prabhas plays Lord Ram in the T-Series Films and Retrophiles-produced movie, which also stars Kriti in the role of Janaki (Sita). Sunny Singh and Saif Ali Khan both appear as Lankesh and Lakshman, respectively. Adipurush is set for an IMAX and 3D release on January 12, 2023. It will be available in theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
