President Droupadi Murmu officially launches the coin marks the birth centenary of NTR

The Family members of the legendary actor, and former chief minister N.T. Rama Rao gathered in New Delhi on Monday to participate in the release of a commemorative Rs100 coin featuring him. The event was graced by President Droupadi Murmu, who officially unveiled the coin. This year holds special significance as it marks the birth centenary of NTR, an iconic figure in the realm of Telugu cinema and politics.

In response to the Central government’s invitation, the family of NTR readily accepted the opportunity to be a part of this historic occasion. TD chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, along with NTR’s sons, daughters, and their respective families, including AP BJP chief Daggubati Purandeswari, were present at the event to pay tribute to the late NTR.

The NTR coin has been specially issued by the Central government to commemorate the centenary birth celebrations of this remarkable personality. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Rs100 coin boasts a diameter of 44 mm and is composed of a unique blend of materials, including 50 percent silver, 40 percent copper, 5 percent nickel, and 5 percent zinc.

One side of the coin features a powerful depiction of three majestic lions alongside the Ashoka Chakra, symbolizing strength, unity, and the spirit of India. On the other side, an enchanting portrait of NTR himself takes center stage, with the inscription ‘Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Satajayanti’ engraved in Hindi below it. This inscription serves as a reminder of the indelible mark NTR left on the hearts and minds of millions of people.
