The Journey of Power Star

There is no doubt that Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has a huge fan base across the Telugu states and other parts of the globe. But he did not become Powerstar overnight.  He started his journey with Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, which ended up an average flick. Despite it being directed by then star director EVV Satyanarayana, who was at his peaks in his career, he couldn’t sustain the hype.

The movie was the debut for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s brother, so the expectations from mega fans were sky-high. But the result of the movie was not up to the mark. This made Pawan think about his choices carefully and he decided to make good scripts. Then he made remakes like Gokulam lo Seetha and Suswagatham. Both ended up as box office hits.

But Major Breakthrough came up to Pawan in the form of Tholi Prema as it made him a representative of youth on screen. This blockbuster followed by other super blockbusters like Tammudu, Badri, and Kushi and made him a youth icon and Powerstar. Khushi was a sensational hit at the box office and made fans go crazy about him.

Pawan Kalyan is not only an actor but also worked as a stunt choreographer. Fans fell in love with his ideas and strategies.  He even sang a few songs for his films.

He decided to take up Johnny in Geetha Arts production. The movie created earth-shattering hype and with Pawan directing the film, many expected it to become a trendsetter again. But the movie ended up being a disaster as the story didn’t connect with audiences.

Still, Pawan Kalyan proved that he is a stylish filmmaker and has a good understanding of visuals and art. Fans still celebrate the Johnny even though it was a flop. The movie completed 17 years of its release on 25th April 2020. And Fans are eagerly waiting for his comeback with Vakeel Saab.
