Varudu Kaavalenu Movie Review: A simple and Sweet Flick

Naga Shaurya and Ritu Varma’s romantic entertainer, Varudu Kaavalenu is carrying good expectations among the audience. Directed by debutant Lakshmi Sowjanya, the film hit big screens today. Let’s look at the review of Varudu Kavalenu.

Story:

Bhoomi( Ritu Varma), a strong independent woman will be running a start-up company. On the other hand, an architect named Akash (Shaurya) comes all the way from Paris to collaborate with Bhoomi’s construction project. Why will Akash come to associate with Bhoomi’s company? Is there any flashback between them? To know that, you have to watch the film.

On-screen Performances:

Naga Shaurya is excellent in the character with formal dresses in an impressive manner. His screen presence and good variance in the acting bring depth to the proceedings. Ritu Varma gave a decent performance in the given purposeful role. Her styling is cool and so is the case with her facial expressions. It is a game-changer for her.

The chemistry between the lead pair is a major plus point for the film. Both Shaurya and Ritu are amazing as a pair and elevate the film’s mood nicely.

Noted actress Nadiya is fine in her given heroine’s mother role. Murali Sharma and Jayaprakash are okay in their given extended cameo roles.

Off-screen talents:

Music by Vishal Chandrasekhar is an added advantage for the film as all the songs are attractive on the screen. His background score is apt for the film’s soul.

Cinematography by Vamsi and Vishnu Sarma is fine as they captured the mood of the film beautifully. Editing by  National award winner Naveen Nooli is very good. Dialogues written by Ganesh Ravuri are good in a few episodes. Production values are rich.

Coming to the director, Lakshmi Sowjanya has dealt with this mature rom-com entertainer in a decent manner. Though she tried to present the film in an engaging way, she would have focused more on coming up with a fast-paced screenplay.

Positive Points:

The chemistry between the lead pair

songs and Background Music

Minus Points:

Slow-paced presentation

Unwanted comedy scenes.

Verdict:

Overall, Varudu Kaavalenu is filled with beautiful moments. It is a lovely rom-com entertainer deals with strong emotions.  The chemistry between the lead pair is adorable but lacks a gripping presentation in the second half. Despite, slow narration, the film has good elements like romance, dialogues, and emotions making it a perfect family entertainer this Diwali.
