The arrival of Vikrant Rona coincides with a resurgence in popularity for both massive spectacles and South Indian language movies. The was released following the huge successes of SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Prashanth Neel’s KGF: Chapter 2, which together made close to Rs 2500 crore. Rajamouli’s own marketing efforts as well as those of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who collaborated with Sudeep on Dabangg 3, have already helped Vikrant Rona.

In addition to Kannada and other South Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, Vikrant Rona is also being released in Hindi and other languages are spoken abroad like English, Arabic, German, Russian, and Mandarin.
