“I will never share screen with you” Trisha’s Befitting Reply To Masoor Ali Khan’s Inappropriate Comments!

Tamil actor Trisha recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her strong denouncement of the derogatory and misogynistic remarks made by Mansoor Ali Khan during a recent media interaction. Trisha and Mansoor both featured in the highly successful movie “Leo,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Vijay. Although they did not share any scenes together, Mansoor made inappropriate comments, expressing regret over not having a “bedroom scene” with Trisha and mentioning his past performances in numerous “rape scenes.”

Mansoor’s comments as “sexist,” “disrespectful,” “misogynistic,” “repulsive,” and “in bad taste,” Trisha wrote, “A recent video has come to my notice where Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner. I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive, and in bad taste. He can keep wishing, but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him, and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind.”

Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj also criticized Mansoor for his comments, stating, “Disheartened and enraged to hear the misogynistic comments made by Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan, given that we all worked in the same team. Respect for women, fellow artists, and professionals should be a non-negotiable in any industry, and I absolutely condemn this behavior.”

During a press conference, Mansoor spoke about “Leo” and expressed his disappointment at not getting a chance to share the screen with Trisha. His video has since gone viral on social media. Speaking in Tamil, Mansoor said, “When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought I would carry her to the bedroom just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes, and it’s not new to me. But these guys didn’t even show Trisha to me on the sets during the shoot in Kashmir.”

After Trisha slammed him on X, Mansoor released a clarification statement. Trade Analyst Ramesh Bala shared Mansoor’s statement and translated a part of it into English. Mansoor stated, “Since I didn’t get those scenes… I spoke in a lighter vein. I respect my female co-stars. Trisha saw an edited version. If anyone played mischief, I won’t be cowed down. My daughter is a fan of Trisha. Focus on other issues.”

“Leo” also starred Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, George Maryan, Priya Anand, and Mathew Thomas in pivotal roles. Although the film received mixed reviews, it emerged as the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2023 and the highest-grossing Tamil film overseas.

The incident involving Mansoor’s derogatory comments has sparked outrage within the industry and among fans, highlighting the importance of respect and gender equality in the entertainment field. It serves as a reminder that such behavior must not be tolerated, and individuals should be held accountable for their actions.
