Rajinikanth’s latest release, ‘Jailer’, has taken the box office by storm since its big-screen release on August 10 (Thursday). The film had an impressive start and managed to earn over Rs 75 crore in India within just two days. On its opening day, the movie raked in a staggering Rs 48 crore, and it continued its successful run by adding another Rs 27 crore on the second day, according to early estimates by trade portal Sacnilk.

But the success doesn’t stop there. ‘Jailer‘ has also entered the prestigious $2 million club at the US box office. This achievement further solidifies Rajinikanth’s position as an international superstar. Trade expert Manobala Vijayabalan highlighted that Rajinikanth now holds the record for the maximum number of movies in this exclusive club.
While ‘Jailer’ was making waves at the box office, Chiranjeevi’s ‘Bhola Shankar‘ also hit the theatres on Friday, a day after Rajinikanth’s film. The movie managed to collect an impressive Rs 20 crore in India on its opening day, as per early estimates by Sacnilk.
With an overall occupancy of 61.92 percent on day one, ‘Bhola Shankar’ also showed promise in terms of audience response. However, given the current trend, it seems that ‘Jailer’ might continue to dominate the box office in the coming days.
