The controversy started when Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha failed to attend an event in Delhi to which she was invited as the chief guest. According to reports, Sonakshi was signed for the ‘India Fashion and Beauty Awards’ event, for which she charged a whopping fee of Rs. 37 lakh. Reports claim that event organizer Pramod Sharma demanded a refund after the actress failed to attend the event.

On September 30, 2019, Sharma organized the awards show at Delhi’s Siri Fort Auditorium. Abhishek Sinha, the founder of Talent FullOn Company and Exeed Entertainment, approached Sonakshi for the event. Sonakshi Sinha received Rs. 28 lakh, 17 thousand in four installments in June, whereas the company received Rs. 5 lakh in commission.

In spite of a written agreement, the actress did not appear for the event despite having shot promotional videos for it. Shira claimed that Sonakshi’s manager has refused to refund him the money. Even though he tried to contact the actress multiple times, she did not reply.

Pramod Sharma then filed a complaint of fraud in Katghar police station, Moradabad. After the case was filed, Sonakshi reportedly went to the police station in Moradabad to record her statement. However, the actress was served a non-bailable warrant in the case of fraud due to her continued absence. Sinha has been ordered to appear on April 25, 2022, by the ACJM court in Moradabad.

Earlier, a photo of Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in wedding gowns broke the internet, but the picture was eventually revealed to be fake and photoshopped. By that time, rumors were running rampant and people jumped to all kinds of conclusions.

Sonakshi finally commented on such a post, “Are you so dumb that you can’t tell the difference between a real and a morphed picture,” and used laughing emojis.
