Underwhelming Sankranthi Film Soundtracks Fail to Strike a Chord with Audiences!

The highly anticipated Sankranthi season is set to witness a fierce box office battle, with four diverse films waiting for audience attention. Mahesh Babu’s action-packed “Guntur Kaaram,” Teja Sajja’s superhero venture “Hanuman,” Venkatesh’s family drama “Saindhav,” and Nagarjuna’s intriguing “Naa Saami Ranga” are all geared up for release, each catering to different genres.

Despite all the films completing Censor formalities and locking in concise runtimes, there seems to be a subdued response to the music releases, which traditionally play a crucial role in building anticipation for these festive releases. Strikingly, all four Sankranthi releases have managed to secure a U/A certificate, ensuring a wide audience appeal.

Among the four movies, it’s noteworthy that only the songs of “Guntur Kaaram” have managed to create a significant buzz, resonating with the audience to a considerable extent. On the contrary, the soundtracks of the other three films have struggled to generate the expected excitement. The songs of “Saindhav” are intricately woven into the storyline, perhaps explaining their subdued pre-release impact, with expectations of a more immersive experience during the actual viewing.

In the case of “Naa Saami Ranga,” despite the reunion of Nagarjuna and MM Keeravani after a considerable hiatus, the musical impact seems to have fallen short of expectations. The late release of songs and a lack of widespread resonance have left the film’s musical promotion lagging behind.

Turning our attention to the superhero spectacle “Hanuman,” while the teaser and trailer have successfully piqued interest, the same cannot be said for the audio. Even though Guntur Kaaram managed to grab some attention, these songs couldn’t grab as much attention as “Ala Vaikuntapuramulo.”

As the countdown to Sankranthi begins, it remains to be seen whether the cinematic offerings and their stories manage to eclipse the underwhelming pre-release musical buzz and captivate audiences during the festive season.
