Actress Payal Ghosh accuses Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment, the director denies the allegations
Another #Metoo controversy is in news headlines. Actress Payal Ghosh accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct. she said that Anurag forced himself onto her.
Payal Ghosh said that Anurag was shooting for Bombay velvet at that time, the incident happened. First, she went to meet Director with her manager, She said she was impressed with the first meeting. After that Anurag called her at his house he offered her food and She said, “it was a nice meeting.”
Payal said that Anurag called her again to his house. She went to his house. She said,” In the second meeting at his house, he took me to his room and opened his clothes, and tried to force me. I told him I am not comfortable right now, so he said everyone does all this. He came near to me and tried and failed. I convinced him that I am uncomfortable. Then he said ok but the next time you come prepared. I said ok and left his house.”

The actress further said, ” I tried to speak about it before also when the #metoo movement had started, but my family and friends stopped me as my career would be spoiled.”
On asking her if she has any screenshots of chatting with Anurag, Payal said, “I don’t have any screenshots as the incident happened in 2014.”
Director Anurag brokes the silence on allegations on him by actor Payal Ghosh. He rejected all the accusations saying they are baseless in series of tweets on twitter.
Actress Kangana Ranaut came out in her support and tweeted, “every voice matters.”
NCW Rekha Sharma has contacted Payal Ghosh asking her to formally send a complaint to her so the action can be taken.”
