KGF 2 Collection: On its opening day, KGF 2 makes box office history in India. Yash’s latest film is smashing all existing records. On its first day in India, KGF: Chapter 2 made box office history. According to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 1 has raked in Rs 134.5 crore in India from all versions and languages.

Taking place in the 1970s, the period action drama KGF: Chapter 2 is directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Hombale Films. The movie was released in multiple languages on April 14, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment and AA Films distributed the film in North India. The film has earned Rs 63.66 crore from its Hindi version alone, according to its official statement. The opening record is beaten by Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff’s War.

The strong performance by Yash and Sanjay Dutt, combined with Prashanth Neel’s gripping plot, paved the way for the film’s success. Hindi action movies have never had a bigger opening than this action drama.

With its opening weekend at the box office, KGF: Chapter 2 is set to create records with more than Rs 150 crore in collections from its Hindi version alone, surpassing the lifetime collections of its first part KGF: Chapter 1.

As a gold mine king, Rocky (Yash) fulfills a promise he made to his dying mother in Chapter 2. Sanjay Dutt makes his Kannada film debut in the sequel, which also stars Raveena Tandon, Malavika Avinash, and Srinidhi Shetty, among others.
